The mobile division of TP Group, PTK Centertel (Polska Telefonia Komórkowa Centertel Sp. z o.o.), was established in 1991.
Since 2005, PTK Centertel's digital mobile network services have been marketed under the 'Orange' brand. PTK Centertel was the first mobile operator in Poland to introduce a global brand. At the end of December 2007, our mobile customers numbered 14.2 million – an increase of 13.1% compared to the end of 2006 – and our value market share was 34.1%.
Services available to customers on our mobile networks include: interactive Orange Voice Mail, voice and SMS packages, data and fax transmission, Internet access, GPRS / EDGE / UMTS rapid data transmission, MMS multimedia services, SMS Premium Rate services, mobile banking services, news and local information services, SMS text messages, MMS services, Intelligent Network services, positioning services, loyalty programmes and roaming services with over 360 operators worldwide, including GPRS roaming services (for access to data transmission abroad) with 138 operators.
At the end of 2007, PTK Centertel's infrastructure hosted three virtual operators: Avon Mobile Sp. z o.o. (my Avon), Wirtualna Polska Sp. z o.o. (WPMobi) and MNI Telecom Sp z o.o. In addition, in November 2007, PTK Centertel signed a MVNO service agreement with Aster Sp. z o.o.
