fixed-line services
traditional fixed-line
TP's fixed-line network provides services throughout Poland to 9.6 million customers, offering local, domestic long distance, international and fixed-to-mobile voice calls, and dial-up Internet access. Additional services include call management packages, such as voice mail, call forwarding and call waiting; and information services, such as weather forecasts and television schedules.
Fixed line revenues amounted to PLN 10,914 million in 2007 and were PLN 955 million lower than in 2006, which represent 8.0% decrease year-on-year.
The decrease is caused by increasing fixed-to-mobile substitution, decrease of mobile termination rates (MTR) reflected also in retail fixed-to-mobile prices, lower rates in Reference Interconnect Offer (RIO) as well as ongoing market liberalisation including wholesale line rental (WLR) and bitstream access (BSA). At the end of 2007 GOM as a % of revenues was at 41.8%, a decrease of 5.1 percentage points compared to 2006.

broadband
2007 saw a sharp slowdown in the Polish broadband market, which grew only be 5.7% by TP own estimates. At the end of December 2007, TP had almost 2.2 million broadband customers, up almost 26% on a year earlier, of which 94% are retail lines.
multimedia and "triple play"
In this very competitive environment, TP remained the innovative leader, competing less on price and more on value by encouraging customers to use higher bandwith options and by pushing bundle offers including the sale of Voice-over-IP and TV-over-DSL as well as triple play offers with premium TV content.
Given that 98% of TP’s fixed line subscribers are within ADSL coverage (at the end of December 2007), ADSL services have a solid growth potential.
In 2007, TP extended the coverage of its value-added broadband services. Launched In 2006, multipakiet tp triple-play service includes digital TV, video-on-demand, Internet access and VOIP-based voice service. At the end of 2007, this service was available in 42 cities.
leased lines
TP is the main provider of leased line services in Poland, offering both analogue and digital options, with a standardised transmission band. Customers lease our lines for their own use and also to enable them to offer services to third parties. Our largest customers include mobile network operators, government ministries, financial institutions and Internet service providers.
Our strategy in this area promotes line use by increasing transmission and technical capacity, while reducing service costs. We work continually to upgrade the quality and reliability of our data transmission services.
data transmission
In the data segment TP offers IP-VPN services in co-operation with Orange Business Services (OBS), a division of France Telecom. The launch of IP-VPN was undertaken in conjunction with France Telecom in order to optimise costs and leverage France Telecom’s experience. MPLS (MultiProtocol Label Switching) based IP-VPN is a fully managed, business class service designed to provide a flexible, reliable and cost-effective network infrastructure for transmitting voice, data and video.
Thanks to OBS’s international experience, TP’s offer has quickly established itself as one of the most technologically advanced products in the Polish market. Several key business clients in the fast moving consumer goods, manufacturing, transport and other sectors have already signed up for the service.
