TP Group operates in all segments of the Polish telecommunications sector, offering fixed-line voice and data services, mobile communications, Internet access, and broadcast communication and satellite transmission services.
traditional fixed-line
TP's fixed-line network provides services throughout Poland via almost 10 million main lines, offering local, domestic long distance, international and fixed-to-mobile voice calls, and dial-up Internet access. Additional services include call management packages, such as voice mail, call forwarding and call waiting; and information services, such as weather forecasts and television schedules.
broadband
Broadband is one of the fastest-growing areas of our business and in 2007 TP’s broadband customer base increased by 25.8% to 2.15 million (94% of which are retail lines).
multimedia and "triple play"
At the end of 2005 we added a new multimedia modem to TP's portfolio: livebox tp. This universal multimedia gateway works by combining Neostrada ADSL and a Wi-Fi modem to offer a "triple play" of services, namely high-speed wireless Internet access, low-cost VoIP calls and IPTV (including video on demand). Livebox represents a major milestone in the evolution of TP's offer to residential customers: a central gateway to the "digital home" that will facilitate and enhance the introduction of further convergent products.
leased lines
TP is the main provider of leased line services in Poland, offering both analogue and digital options, with a standardised transmission band. Customers lease our lines for their own use and also to enable them to offer services to third parties. Our largest customers include mobile network operators, government ministries, financial institutions and Internet service providers.
data transmission
In the data transmission segment, TP offers IP VPN services in cooperation with Equant. We launched IP-VPN TP in January 2005 in conjunction with France Telecom, allowing us to optimise costs and leverage France Telecom's experience in this area.
The mobile division of TP Group, PTK Centertel (Polska Telefonia Komórkowa Centertel Sp. z o.o.), was established in 1991. Since 2005, PTK Centertel's digital mobile network services have been marketed under the 'Orange' brand. PTK Centertel was the first mobile operator in Poland to introduce a global brand.
A key part of TP Group's strategy since 2004 has been the progressive integration of sales and service functions for both the fixed-line and the mobile business. In this way, we are leveraging the potential of the Group to optimise costs, grow top line and improve the customer experience.
TP Group owns a number of thriving subsidiary ventures in the Internet and IT field, including TPI Contact Center, Wirtualna Polska and Marketplanet.
TP Group subsidiary EmiTel provides broadcast services across Poland, offering analogue radio diffusion, radio and television transmission services, maritime radio communications, radio-link leased-line infrastructure hire and the planning, installation and maintenance of radio communication systems.
