Telekom Polska ethics code

In all of its business activities, TP abides by the key principles of honesty and transparency. We wish to be the telecommunication supplier of choice for all our customers. Therefore, in contacts with customers, investors and commercial partners, we have set ourselves the highest standards to live up to. We model our approach on the best international practice.

We aim to make it as easy as possible for customers to take advantage of our services, and provide a comprehensive service portfolio to offer solutions to meet the widest possible range of requirements. We aim to inform the market in a timely, accurate and reliable manner of new product and service introductions.

We wish to maintain the highest standards of relations with our employees, as well as our customers, investors and commercial partners. We also offer our employees assistance through our social and medical facilities and housing fund.

We use the potential that we possess within the company to the greatest possible extent. We strengthen those positions in the company which are most important to its development, while reducing those positions which do not offer growth potential. We have introduced the system of "Management by Objectives" – a very important mechanism which aims at increasing managerial efficiency. And as noted elsewhere, our employment policies are in accordance with the rule of equal opportunities.

TP today is very different from the company it was in the past. We have identified a clear mission and a clear strategy to help us achieve it. Our aim is to become the first choice for telecommunications services in Poland, and we will continue to make every effort to realise that goal.

code of ethics

A new TP Code of Ethics was implemented in 2006, together with the appointment of the Ethics Committee and the network of local ethics coordinators. Key principles set out by the Code include:
  • abiding by ethical principles in business activities
  • fair competition
  • employee care
  • high corporate governance and management standards
  • absolutely no tolerance for corruption
  • an apolitical stance
  • environmental care

The company has also implemented an alert handling system for ethics-related issues. Further work is being conducted on the processes and policies for the prevention and reporting of potential or actual fraud, including a 'whistleblowers' charter'.
